Review
This book is the least interesting out of the whole series, but at the same time I feel like I can really understand Katniss more than I did after reading the rest of the series. In the other two books the author portrays Katniss almost as indestructible, the all powerful Mockingjay. In the first part of this book you get the same feeling, until towards the end. Katniss has suffered so many losses that she just wants to end everything. People tell her that the thousands of deaths are just casualties and not her fault, yet she still feels like she is worth nothing and should be dead. It is as Katniss is falling apart that the reader begins to see her for her true self. Katniss is not the face of a rebellion, and she is not indestructible. She is a girl.   Mockingjay

Review
Thomas and his friends are trapped, now, in a scorching hot desert. With zombie like creatures, and a team of girls, with Teresa as the leader, hunting them down (with the intent of killing Thomas). Near the end of the book, the kids are still pretty much clueless as to what the world surrounding them is like.  The Scorch Trials
