It was originally the Grand Central Hotel and was later remodeled and enlarged when it became the Blatz Hotel. Razed in 1964.

It operated as an apartment building until 1984 when it was closed due to the cost of repair for its 69 code violations.

19. Shorecrest Hotel Shorecrest Hotel Shorecrest Hotel (Milwaukee, Wis.); Hotels -- Wisconsin -- Milwaukee; North Prospect Avenue (Milwaukee, Wis.); The Mediterranean Revival style Shorecrest Hotel, home of the popular Snug's Restaurant from 1976-1996. The hotel is now an apartment building.

Schuster Hotel Schuster Hotel Schuster Hotel (Milwaukee, Wis.); Hotels -- Wisconsin -- Milwaukee; East Wisconsin Avenue (Milwaukee, Wis.); A maze of fire escapes covers the front of Schuster's Hotel, a converted apartment building (as had become the trend of the day as opposed to building new). The 53 room hotel was razed in 1939.
