Description
Name
Johnson
,
Walter
L
.
Record code

Birthplace
Forest
,
Mississippi
Birth date
1936-02-27
My life
I
am
an
educator
.
However
,
I
also
work
with
many
community
groups
and
handle
a
number
of
church-related
activities
. In
addition
,
I
have
committed
much
of
my
life
to
developing
and
managing
housing
and to
developing
economic
opportunities
for
citizens
of
our
community
.
My role models
Archie
Savage
and
Martin
L
.
King
,
Jr
.
Greatest inspiration
Working
with and
helping
the
youth
and the
senior
adults
of
our
city
.
My vision for Milwaukee
Milwaukee
must
make
our
city
safe
for
our
children
. The
willingness
to
protect
our
children
is
a
moral
litmus
test
of any
decent
and
compassionate
society
. This
city
cannot
continue
to
compete
and
prosper
in this
country
when
a
large
number
of
our
children
live
in
poverty
and
grow
up
under-
educated
.
We
cannot
continue
to
squander
the
talents
of
our
children
. If this
is
continued
,
Milwaukee
will
become
a
city
of
limited
human
potential
.
Milwaukee
must
become
a
city
of
opportunity
for
every
child
.
Each
of us has an
integral
part
in
achieving
this
better
community
.
Mine
will be to
continue
to
work
with
our
citizens
in
housing
,
education
and
economic
development
.
