St. Norbert College in Photos
The St. Norbert College in Photos Collection of the Miriam B. and James J. Mulva Library at St. Norbert College, De Pere, Wisconsin is a compilation of photographs dating back to the early 1900s. The photographs reflect the life of the students, faculty and staff who studied, taught, worked and lived at St. Norbert College. The photographs highlight the Norbertine priests and their role in the college; the first female students attending the college; important visitors such as John F. Kennedy; and the strong relationship the college has with the Green Bay Packers. These photographs not only represent the history of St. Norbert College but the history of Northeastern Wisconsin.
St. Norbert College Catalogs
College catalogs were published annually by St. Norbert College from 1902-1917. The catalog served as the college yearbook and also provided information on available courses, the academic calendar, admissions requirements, and other school policies.
St. Norbert College Yearbooks
The Des Peres yearbooks were compiled and published by the students of St. Norbert College beginning in 1917. They contain a record of activities of each scholastic year at St. Norbert College.
Diaries of the travels of Austrian Norbertine priest Father Maximilian Gaertner, O. Praem, of Wilten Abbey in Austria. Fr. Gaertner arrived in Wisconsin in 1846 and remained there until recalled to Wilten Abbey in 1858. He worked primarily with another Norbertine of Wilten Abbey, Father Adlabert Inama. Fr. Gaertner’s diaries are an invaluable record of his travels and work in Wisconsin during those years.
