About this collection

From 1897-1974, The Quiver yearbook recorded the people, activities and achievements of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and its predecessor institutions (Oshkosh Normal School, Oshkosh State Teachers College, Oshkosh State College and WSU Oshkosh). The pages of the school's annual document the evolution of a campus growing from a teachers training institution of 700 students into a comprehensive university of over 10,000 and a member of one of the country's greatest public university systems.

In The Quiver, you'll find the faces of faculty, staff and generations of students; you'll find student clubs, performance groups and athletic teams; you'll find impenetrable inside jokes and humor. In the end, you'll find a campus presenting its best face forward, a means to remember a year in review and a campus for over 75 years.

This project was completed by Polk Library's University Archives in anticipation of UW Oshkosh's sesquicentennial (1871-2021), a celebration of 150 years of service to the state of Wisconsin.
