About this collection

The Ruth Culver Community Library is located in downtown Prairie du Sac with views of the Wisconsin River. The Stories of Sauk Prairie digital collection is a collection of interviews conducted by Doris Litscher Gasser along with a photograph she took of each community member interviewed. An article was published in the Sauk Prairie Star based on each interview.

This project was completed in cooperation with the Wisconsin South Central Library System (SCLS) and was funded through a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant. The LSTA grant was made available through the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), which is the primary source of federal support for the nation’s 122,000 libraries and 17,500 museums. The Institute’s mission is to create strong libraries and museums that connect people to information and ideas.
